We do, however, request registration using before March 24 using Eventbrite Dr. Michael Ungar (Canada Research Chair in Child, Family and Community Resilience, Family Therapist and Director, Resilience Research Centre at Dalhousie University) will speak on how families, schools, service providers and communities working together to create resilience in children and youth.
Dr Ungar’s visit to Lanark County is stimulated by 2024 Planet Youth Lanark County survey findings showing our youth are expressing increasing concern about feeling safe. It is also relevant to topics covered in a community meeting on Dec 2, 2024 in Perth.
A status update on Planet Youth Lanark County’s submission for funding from the Youth Substance Use Prevention Program - Canada.ca will also be provided. PYLC presented YSUPP information to Lanark County Council in May 2024 Media Release: County Council May 22, 2024 - Lanark County Civic Leaders are also encouraged to participate in Planet Youth Lanark County events (community meeting and workshops) taking place on March 31 and Apr 1.
